How do you charge such a big battery

It looks like the build video isn't around anymore :( Did you delete it? I really wanted to use that video to guide me on my own build :/

You should know that the wattage of the motors is what they can take/handle not necessarily what the board will output which is based on max current from battery, limited and and controlled by BMS and modulated by motor controller. Big motors do not mean a lot of power. This board is pretty tame.

Very clever build, but could have been much easier with a Briggs and Stratton or a Predator.

And until the regulators and laws of politicians catch up with this kind of Technology this is the only mechanized motorized crap that is legal because if you were to use a simple gas engine on this you'd be stopped and ticketed immediately.

For $1300, wouldn’t one just buy a good motorized one? I would worry about the high electromagnetic fields coming from the battery between your legs. I work in the tech field and test for these. Some serious hernia and cancer-causing fields there.

This is pretty close to a meepo hurricane but DIY. Very cool. I recently ordered a meepo hurricane carbon edition which is 7000 watts but has pneumatic tires and portal drives instead of belts which is probably a better design since most of the hurricanes I tried with belt drives would slip the sprockets under full acceleration off the line. Even with new belts fully tensioned.

I bet you could get 90 miles to the gallon on that hog. Still wanna go to Aspen?

This strongly resembles a gas minibike I built from scratch many years ago. I used plumbing pipe for a frame and it was rather heavy. I needed to register it because of the engine size I used. I had a lot of fun with it. It hadn't occurred to me to build an electric version until seeing this. Nice work. It's strange that individual states regulate gas engine sizes for scooters and bicycle conversions but don't regulate electric motor sizes at all. I wonder why you spent the extra money on a gasketed battery box when the cable entrances aren't sealed.

Had me until the belts

I put a 125cc that's now modified a 140CC ish,with stage 2 cam ,roller rockers, performance push rods and springs. Attached to a semi-auto electric start on an old 1970 Sears and Roebuck droper bird bike and it'll do 70 miles an hour all day but I'm rocking a 16 tooth drive sprocket on the engine, and a 23 tooth on the Wheel, and because of the small wheels only being 11 or 12 in, it's still way too much torque and I always take off in second gear. So I might bump up to a17t engine sprocket. But, I'll admit it's already terrifyingly fast, in addition to being on a small mini bike frame. At least it's 54 years old solid American steel. Probably safer than most newer vehicles lol.
